Anger Over Sydney Harbour's 'Boating Car Parks'

Wealthy owners want to walk, not row, to their floating holiday homes, writes Vanda Carson. Ken Rolley's 30-foot flybridge cruiser Rascal was the first fibreglass motorboat to be moored in Rose Bay in 1974. Since then the retired tow truck driver has witnessed an explosion in the numbers of larger motorboats cruising the harbour and a corresponding demand for berths at the adjacent Royal Motor Yacht Club marina at Point Piper.''Big boats come and go. Blokes make a lot of money and they buy a big boat, then they go bust and sell it and buy a littler boat,'' Mr Rolley says.
