Australia & Taiwan, To Begin Mutual Inspection Of Fishing Boats To Begin Mutual Inspection Of Fishing Boats

Australia and Taiwan are set to begin mutual high-seas inspection of deep-sea fishing boats operating in the West and Central Pacific Ocean as part of a joint fishery conservation and management effort, a government agency reported Monday. According to the Fisheries Agency under the Cabinet-level Council of Agriculture (COA) , officers of the two countries will have the right to board and inspect the catch on boats from either side, within the coverage area, starting Nov. 28.
