Local Broome boating identity Jeff Cooper has been appointed chairman of the community reference group for the proposed State Government Royalties for Regions $35million Broome Boating Facility. Mr O’Brien said Mr Cooper is president of the Broome Fishing Club and his professional involvement in the aquaculture industry through Kimberley TAFE make him well placed to serve as chairman of the reference group. "The reference group, to be formed over the coming month, will include representatives of the community and local user groups.” he said.
